World Traveler Old Door Bookcase
Definition: World Traveler — because google just didn’t get it right…no maps, no compass, no tattoo, no tacky globes. World traveler is sophisticated (apparently they are) maybe because they travel and are exposed to different cultures and they absorb a wider world view. They collect items from wherever they go to and put together a ‘traveled and found things’ home decor.
Old hand carved antique matching doors awash in faded turquoise with the original brown wood peeking through have been redesigned to create a bookcase with a storage area. The hardware and all the carvings with the decorative surround (door jams have changed considerably) has trim sides to stand on its own with the dark brown sides framing the decorative carving so as not to overwhelm.
Turquoise (The Arrangement way to say it is: Turk-qua-seee) is the color accent of the Western decor. It’s refreshing, sophisticated, radiates wisdom and wholeness. And a host of other words that are just too many good things in one color. The two glass shelves don’t intrude, they dissapear visually.
So you’ve been saved some time and shipping costs and worry. This premiere artifact bookcase and storage is ready when you are. One of a Kind and a statement piece that works with the transitional decor because it has character and texture. Can’t fake those.
Ps. Don’t be a wanderer. AND. Nothing rhymes with World Traveler–you on yer own. and you like it!
