Chamchuree Roasting Table
Tree history: The monkey pod tree originates from the American tropics, ranging from Mexico to Brazil. It was rapidly introduced to tropical areas around the world as the wood is naturally resistant to moisture, rot, and insects.. The tree and its wood are called chamcha or chamchuree. It is a sustainable wood, known for its unique deep and contrasting grain pattern which takes on an attractive finish stained or unstained. All fine and good, now what’s it mean to you. This has the coloration of polished chestnuts with that deep deep brown with overtones of russet reds and highlights of light tan sand. The tree base has the character that naturally “found” fallen trees have. The middle open and the inside edges are a dark dark burnt umber brown. It would look elegant with a thick round or oval piece of glass. Glass not included.
