You may also hear Parota referred to as rain tree it is typically sustainable in harvesting. It is an abundant tree that is sustainably harvested in many different countries. Often times farmers will plant Parota trees because of how they create an umbrella effect with their tall spread out branches which then can be used to keep livestock in shade during the hot summer days. This species overall fits great into dining rooms as it is rich and dark brown in the center and has an elegant light creamy/white sapwood that looks amazing, especially accented against the black metal base.
