Rock Hound Leather and Fabric Dining Side Chair
If you’re a geologist just a hobbyist that loves rocks, minerals and fossils like me, you cannot pass by a pretty rock without picking it up. I’m not a rock hound, but I love rocks. This perfectly scaled dining chair has the striations of a rock or a glacial movement. Often these striations carved into the bedrock extend for long distances. Having the geological patterning in your home surrounding a table of any shape marries any color wood or stone top; especially in these neutral but dynamic colors of charcoal greys, whites and browns. The concept of “matching wood stains” on chairs to a table is out the window! That’s liberating but scary.
How does it sit? Like a dream. These local artisans are the best in engineering a chair to last for decades without the “sit” changing over time. The only person this dining side chair doesn’t fit is someone over 6’5″. The chair also tapers to the top of the back creating a comfortable “pitch” as well as “line” to the chair.
Sustainability is and continues to be the backbone of The Arrangement. The wood of 87% of The Arrangement artisans and USA vendors are using sustainable managed forestry woods.
Bringing organic patterning into any home décor takes it to another level of dialogue. My philosophy is that a great interior “talks” to you and brings you a different message each time you see it, just like a great book or movie, and nothing does it better than the organic patterning, shapes and objects found in nature. Geology Rules!
