This project began like many others do… Janet and David Fields, owners of the Brunson Building in Midland, Texas, visited The Arrangement showroom to choose furniture for their new offices. The Arrangement team made their ideas come to life on the showroom floor—room by room by room. And when we say “on the showroom floor,” we literally mean putting masking tape on floors and moving furniture to create each office look.
“Offices can be too functional, clinical, intimidating, and sterile with a ‘you’re here TO WORK’ feel to them,” said Katherine Snedeker. “After meeting the Fields and hearing their amazing family story, I was inspired to create a true home office: a place where folks will want to come to work… a workspace that’s inspirational, comfortable, aspirational, and ‘home-like’ as in ‘best home office ever.’”
And that’s exactly what The Arrangement did.
Katherine Snedeker designed each desk for the Brunson office as well as each credenza, console, end table, conference table, and office chair. Everything in each office and hallway was either designed by Katherine, specifically made for the Brunsons or it came from The Arrangement showroom. 100% The Arrangement. Every. Last. Detail.
And now, the rest of the story…
During the hours spent creating the Brunson office space on the showroom floor, David shared his story of the land where the office was being built. This is a story that you don’t hear too often; it’s a story filled with love and legacy. The new office was being built on the site of David’s grandfather’s homestead from 1928. David had lived in that home with his mother, Nellie, the local Mensa President, for many years. Now, that land was being used for an office building that would house the family’s various enterprises.
