Pro Tips to Styling a Coffee Table

Decorating & Interior Design

3 Jun

A coffee table is the epicenter of the living room. The place we set our snacks in during a movie. The item friends gather around during a get together. The focal point of any living room setting. But it becomes easily piled up with left behind belongings. These 3 steps should help clear out your living room and amp up your style!

1. Don’t over-clutter.

Try not to fill your coffee table full of decor and knick-knacks. It is a great place to store things in the ever full living room, but remember that anyone who comes into that room will see it and for that reason keep it clutter-free and clean.

2. Add a color punch.

Here at The Arrangement we LOVE color, especially a fun added punch of color as the focal point of a piece. Add an arrangement of colorful flowers to it or a bold rug underneath it to give it that extra excitement.

3. Use extra storage.

The coffee table is filled with junky items on a day-to-day basis (i.e. remote controls). Think about adding a storage element to your coffee table, like an ottoman that opens up to hide bulky blankets.

These guidelines should help you center the living room, but as with all home decorating advice it is important to insert your own personal style into your space. It’s what makes your home truly unique!
