Rules You Can Break When Decorating #4

Decorating & Interior Design

23 Apr

There is no rule book when it comes to decorating. As if decorating a new home wasn’t tricky enough, trying to keep up with all of the design rules makes the task even tougher! But times are a’changing — and if you can wear white after Labor Day, then break out of your comfort zone and throw away the guidelines that have become design law. Start embracing your “rebellious” side by breaking these rules…

Adding Accessories with Character

Not every piece of furniture has to be what is expected. An interesting piece of African art can add interest to a dresser while drawing your guests towards it as a conversation piece. A longhorn lamp adds a touch of whimsy to a bar where a simple light just wouldn’t do. A statue in the living room with an archer will keep the eye moving around the space.
